Newest studies may be soothing for individuals who workout but feel they should be doing more. The amount of exercise needed to improve health and longevity, is modest and more is not necessarily better, a newer research study shows.
Incidence of death in study participants was much lower among those who ran. Researchers found that running in moderation provided the most benefits. Those that ran 1-20 miles per week at an average pace of 10-11 minutes per mile - in other words jogging - reduced their risk of dying in this study more effectively than those who didn't run, those who ran more than 20 miles a week and those who ran at a fast pace.
